And TB doesn't? Have you actually read the books? Which ones?

There's a lot of misinformation in your post, but I don't want to get into it with somebody that's not familiar with the source material.

Re: Recommendation of exercises for my SE sessions

What’s up everyone I have military like competitions (mainly body weight exercises) and I want to score good so I need good numbers on push ups, curl ups and pull ups basically. I am currently running Tactical Barbell Conditioning Base Building on Week 2 and everything is doing fine but I think I c...

Re: Help With Programming for Martial Arts

First off thank you for actually taking the time to post all the necessary information. Frequently new posters throw up a generic question with no background info whatsoever, very refreshing. If I were in your shoes I would keep things simple and do something along these lines; Once or even twice a ...

Re: TB2/Conditioning for P.A.R.E

My question is how I would best program lifting/conditioning in order to pass the required fitness test in 4:45 (P.A.R.E, some of you may be familiar) I'm going to be blunt here, but I'm on the same page as @Ten8. What part of TB2 didn't you understand? Did you read it? The entire book is about pro...

Re: Operator 4x/Week - Pure Strength Athlete

Yes, I ran one block of normal Operator a few months ago, the only tweak being I used OHP instead of bench. I used it in conjunction with Black conditioning protocol. I really enjoyed the program and thought the 3x/week frequency worked well when paired with the conditioning load. I'm wanting a blo...

Re: Operator 4x/Week - Pure Strength Athlete

I was reading through TB1 earlier this evening when I came across KB's discussion on why Operator uses a 3x/week split. I have quoted the section below: "Generally speaking, Eastern Bloc approaches favour lifting 3 or more times per week as being optimal, and 1x per week as being least effecti...

Re: Academy - Firearms and Tactical Training Tips

i'm at a LE academy now, and as someone without prior experience in LE, i find the firearms and tactical training to be something very new to deal with, mentally-speaking. i've been practicing both a ton, so at least the mechanics are something that i can dedicate less mental resources to. but with...

Re: Books arrived, general feedback needed

The weight-lifting part seems really standard following Wendler's principles with some interesting twists, quite nice. Aghh…TB and 531 are practically opposites. Baseline 531 is low frequency/high intensity, TB is high frequency/low-moderate intensity. TB is closer in spirit to Korte or maybe some ...

Re: Increasing pullup numbers

Honestly, if you can do 7 pull-ups you're better off incorporating them into Operator instead of using FPP. Use % of your total (7) as your 1RM and do 4-5 sets per Op session. Try it out for a block or two, retest and assess.

Re: Intro and SE questions

Greetings. 57 Y.O. Male engineer. 6'4" 210#. Pretty active - spent the last 2 months ~20 MPW slow with random BB exercises mixed in. Just read AA and TBII and they are just what I've been looking for - a sensible way to combine running and lifting. I'm going to try a month or two of base runni...
