Re: What's next for TB?

Honestly I don't really care about branding or t-shirts all that much. I DO want to see some more TB books exploring various aspects of programming. Each of the books (1,2,AA) have been gold, in every single case they've had a direct tangible impact on my training. Topics I want to learn more about;...

Re: 70 Push-Ups - Maximal Strength and SE Correlation

that's an interesting study, thanks for posting. it says: "As the ability to repeatedly apply submaximal force is a requirement of firefighters, and other occupations/sports, the current research suggests that the initial goal of a training program to enhance muscular endurance should be to in...

Thanks for the input Grouchy, I'll use it as a finisher with a higher rep range. Makes sense, I probably shouldn't be hanging 80%-90%rm off my neck!

Neck Harness Trg?

Hey guys, I'm getting a rogue neck harness...just wondering how you use it/program it? Should I be going for a heavy weight low rep kinda deal or aim for higher reps with lighter weights? Anyone have any ideas or set-ups they follow?

Re: Bulletproof supplements/nootropics guide

Although I don't follow this religiously, I do follow most of Dave Asprey's advice when it comes to supplementation. I've been following this protocol for a few years. Can get old at times taking 8-10 pills a day, but I've felt pretty good since I got away from a multi vitamin and started taking ce...

Re: Meditation

Would add my encouragement to anyone considering adding meditation or mindfulness practice. I am about 1 year in, definitively feel a benefit. Eventually the mindset will hopefully carry over to more of daily activities - ahnold (governator) has talked about initially formally meditating then event...

This might be relevant to your discussion gents:

Patrick's rebuttal to the vitamins-aren't-necessary crowd. This chic knows her stuff.

And here's her site:

Looks like I have some reading and listening to do.

Re: Base building help/suggestions

I would go with Base using the Alpha circuits first, like this; SE 3 x week (Alpha) E 3 x week (mostly running) Rest 1 x week Transition to Black for Continuation with Fighter Bangkok, keep SE in the mix at least until your PFT's finished. As far as your last 2-3 weeks for Base, don't worry too much...

Re: Rucking

This thread might help. Also, try wrapping the KB in blankets or towels, not tape.

Re: HIC or E For Mood?

Definitely E for me and if I remember correctly then I read in "The brain's way of healing" by Norman Dodge that LSS style walking/running has a therapeutic effect on brain. Never heard of this book but sounds interesting, thanks for mentioning it. LSS also supposedly resets or rejuvenate...
