Background: 8 years British army infantry, had a year or so just doing unit PT but allowed to do own PT now so back onto TB. Thank you, yeah gonna run base and try to push the mileage up.

Agree with what you're saying, above all it will prime me and help stop me getting injured.

I personally don't pay attention to my HR in HIC sessions. Push it best effort and forget the HR, a high HR is better than a low in these sessions (my opinion)

British Army 2 miler

Does anyone have any advice for someone training for the dreaded British army 2 miler.
2 miles carrying 18kg under 18 mins.
I'm thinking 600m resets but carrying the required weight rather than unloaded?
Appreciate any advice people or opinions on the best way to train for it.
