Stomach Flu

Anyone else hit by this yet? In the midatlantic area of US we are getting slammed by it. I felt it Tuesday morning and by the afternoon the wife and I were at the hospital getting fluids. Wash your hands and stay away from sick people if you can. I know some of us can't avoid staying away from sick ...

Re: Order of exercises; Pros & Cons?

It also depends on your priorities. I do my squats and over head presses for my first cluster and then pull-ups by themselves. I do squats first since I want to get those out of the way since I suck at those and want to increase them. I also want to increase my OHP. Putting those two together gives ...

Re: Functional Diet for the Tactical Athlete

This is a good thread, glad to see some diversity. I'm a vegetarian, been that way for about 10 years. By vegetarian I mean, no chicken and no fish which a lot of people seem to ask if I eat that. I do eat eggs and have some dairy by way of protein powders. So for me, I definitely don't do low /no c...

Re: Vegetarian Athlete

Really appreciate that, mate! Few questions if you don't mind. 1. How was your transition to the meatless life? Did you go cold turkey? How long did it take to feel comfortable? I went cold turkey. I never was a real big meat eater before hand. My wife has some health issues that was making it hard...

Re: Vegetarian Athlete

Finally something I can contribute to. I've been vegetarian for close to 10 years. I eat eggs and milk occasionally but I do use whey protein powder. I'm not vegan, I love animals and all but my health comes first and going vegan wouldn't work for me. The hardest part is finding what to replace your...

Re: Training consecutive days

It's definitely counter productive. You need a day of rest between sessions. Is it possible to do Tuesday, Thursday Saturday? What are your other days filled with (LSS, conditioning)?

Re: Where to buy equipment?

Fringe Sport makes some good stuff. I have their bumper plates, really can't beat the price. I do have a Rogue bar and am very happy with it https://www.fringesport.com/collections/bumper-plates https://www.fringesport.com/collections/squat-racks The reviews on their squat racks were a little worri...

I'll piggy back off of yours. If you live in the Washington DC area, this event here sells them after they are done.
