Re: Reading List
Is the Snowman part of a longer detective series? Sounds vaguely familiar. It is book 7 in the "Harry Hole" (fantastic name) series. I read the first one and skipped ahead to finish it before the movie comes out this month. It's Norwegian I believe. I'd compare it to Michael Connelly but ...

Re: Reading List
Just finished reading The Ritual by Adam Neville....highly recommend if you enjoy horror. One caveat; the story takes a turn during the second half which is a bit of a let-down, but the majority of the book is excellent. Haven't been that creeped out reading a book in ages.

Listened to "How Bad Do You Want It?" By Matt Fitzgerald. It was on sale and about sports psychology and how your mental game is what takes you from good to great in endurance sports. I would highly recommend listening to this during your next base building block. Currently reading the Sn...

Re: Help me think about HIC sprint workouts
Good thread guys, but I'm not sure why there's so much confusion over this. Some sessions call for maximum effort, some don't. They have different purposes. If I remember correctly BOO and BOO2 both call for some pacing, whereas Resets (Heavy Bag and 600) call for max effort. Just a couple off the t...

Is this a thing now, has the Space Corps been formally approved? .....I remember there being some government back-and-forth over it a while ago. Anyway, welcome to th...

Re: LE Physical Fitness Test Help/Advice
One way to plan your training is to look at your weaknesses or areas you want to improve and then apply the correct template and protocol. Break it down into domains. You mentioned wanting to improve your run times and push-ups as an example. Run times (1.5) = aerobic domain push-ups = strength endu...

BTW, I'm sure that OMOB and 5/3/1-easque programs work well for a lot of people, but even in the first/only cycle that I ran of OMOB, I missed doing frequency work. What I found was that when I tried to put a heavy load on my back, while I felt very fresh, I was so "unused" to the load on...
