Re: Pull up progression for the weak one?
NECRO posting but I didn't want to start a new thread I'm on my 5th week of BB and about to transition into the MS/HIC phase. After this I'll likely run OP BLK. Now, I know WPU are the best way to improve strength with pull ups, but has anyone experimented with using BW pull ups going for more endu...

Re: Your Preferred Conditioning Source
I PREFER to go mountain biking for my conditioning, have some trails 5 min from the house. 10 mile loop or so takes 55-60min. Pure aerobic, sunshine, and its FUN. Depending on what cycle I am on, Hill sprints are Favorite for Back, E trail runs when on Green or base build I'll run the same trails fo...

Re: Increasing flexibility
I'll go against the grain here and not recommend ROMWOD, tried it for quite some time and never saw improvement in ranges of motion. Did I enjoy it, yes. Does it feel good, yes. Is it good relaxing recovery tool, yes. The passive nature of it, did next to nothing to improve my ranges of motion, mobi...

Re: Leadership reading material
Everyone keeps recommending extreme ownership by Jocko WILLINK. I read his other book, Discipline, and thought it was terrible. I read it in a bit more than an hour and came away pretty underwhelmed. Has anyone read both and can tell me how they compare? I am not interested in a book that tells me ...

Re: Unilateral exercises for base build
It would but you might find that's a LOT of Turkish get-ups. Just SLIGHTLY overlooked that haha. I just like TGU for full body strength and maintaining a good core Do something different for your SE. I love doing pullups, but I need to work a different movement pattern for a change. If you use TGU ...

Re: Alternative Base Build Results (Simple and sinister + Fighter Pullup Program + LSD)
Thanks for this after a few false starts I will give your plan a go in the new year It really was one of the best mesocycles I have ever done, but those pullups were really becoming hard to finish with good form. I will definitely be revisiting it in the future. To finally hit that goal of 20 pullu...

Re: Unilateral exercises for base build
5 exercises is the sweet spot for me. Upper body push, upper body pull, lower body push, lower body pull, core/full body. I've only done BB with MS before and never the SE option. pushups, ring rows, lunges, RDL, turkish get ups? Does this match what your parameters state? I'm on week 5 of my curren...

Re: TB training goals for 2018
Lose the stubborn 5-10lbs of fat that's only a result of poor discipline. I eat clean 80% the time, should be 90% though. Hit a 315 back squat- currently at 275-Haven't done 315 since 2013ish? maybe 2012? Current Clean and Jerk is 195-200 or so. I would like to be able to hit a 225 CJ any day any ti...
