Re: After 40 club
But the combo is needed for real health and vitality. What good does it do you to be strong as an ox and chiseled, if you can't play a sport for more than 10 minutes with your kids or grandkids without getting winded? Past the cardio system, the muscles need more than just weights for real life fun...

Re: Are You Addicted To Training?
As long as you take regular detox weeks, it's not a bad addiction to have. People that exercise regularly (including hard training elite level athletes) tend to live longer in general. But it is still an addiction, right? Is brushing your teeth an addiction? It's good for you, you may or may not li...

Re: I need some Programming Advice
Hello, I am in need of programming help. I have finished BB, and I am currently doing The Green Progressive SE Template (due to not having a squat rack yet.) My two E's are running and hiking. I am doing the Alpha Circuits and my movements are: hang cleans, floor press, KB swings, and stiff leg dea...

Re: Protein bars or powders are your favorite?
Quest is good ingredient-wise but I find the taste severely lacking. That being said it's hard to find a bar that doesn't taste like sugar coated cardboard.
I usually stick with Vega bars, chocolate-peanut butter.

Re: Don't Overlook Triples
A lot of great ideas, here! As for battle ropes, where's a good spot to purchase or order from? I use them at jiu jitsu for our conditioning sessions but I'd like to purchase some at some point. Onnit's got a wide selection ranging from $25 to $200+. Couldn't agree more on the triples Doc. Here's o...

J-Madd's Apex Videos?
Would be a nice addition to this section @ K.B.
I would do it myself but I need help just turning my computer on.

Re: Potemkin Muscles
Yup. The concept is sound but the way it was structured didn't work out for me. I'd recover and be ready to work again when it came to the press, but not recovered enough to deadlift, so maintaining any sort of consistency was difficult. Heavy high volume DLs are a tricky beast, especially if you're...

Re: Member Introductions Thread
Well what can I say, I feel like I'm home. Same background as many of you, military for almost a decade with a switch to a career in a related field. Finding tactical barbell was bittersweet for me, because I didn't have it when I was on my way to basic at 18. Been a TB user for a year now with outs...
