Re: PFT Redemption
Some of you may remember my call for help back in April regarding a short notice (~3 weeks) PFT I had to take. If not, you can refer to it here > http://tacticalbarbell.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=731&p=8107#p8107. Despite the board's best efforts to guide me and my prep, it just wasn't e...

Re: mikhou's training log
Hi Mikhou, I'm new to the forum, although I've been lurking for a while. I'm also on the EO3 forums, and I thought I recognised the username. I'm currently using OMOB with SQ, BP, DL, OHP but I'll soon be starting Operator so that I can get more conditioning in my plan. I'm begrudgingly thinking of...

Re: Need some advice on where to start
You're starting off from a place where you shouldn't try and do everything at once. Start off with just 3 E sessions a week in addition to your Muay Thai classes. Don't worry about the MS or SE training right now. Personally I'd ditch the yoga until your fundamentals are in place. So; 3 x E per wee...

Re: Tactical Barbell/Marathon Template
Your plan looks good. Couple suggestions; Since you're training for something specific (marathon) don't bother with SE training for now. You'll get plenty of sport-specific SE through your weekly mileage. Doing a boatload of extra push-ups and such isn't going to help you run a better race and will ...

Re: Maximizing the workout time and TB blasphemy
Consider a few things; The body works as a unit. It's not just individual muscles in play when you perform a set of a heavy compound exercise, it's also the CNS, and various energy systems. If you go straight from 5 reps of one exercise to 5 reps of another, you're venturing into hypertrophy-bodybui...

Re: Can supplemental vitamin D improve sleep?
I've read that vitamin D does help with sleep by regulating the body's serotonin/melatonin systems. From what I understand, if you take the D at night there's a good chance it'll cause insomnia, but if you take it earlier in the day it'll help you sleep come bedtime.

Re: SE Focused block
It helps if you think of it in terms of "strength" and "conditioning". Strength qualities= MS, SE (Fighter, Op, SE only) Conditioning or cardio = E/HIC (Green/Black) You can pair SE with either E or HIC, Green or Black, just exercise a little judgement when picking your HICs. I'd...
