Re: Do Your Roadwork!
Tyson used to run 3-4 miles every morning...and: 2000 sit-ups 500-800 dips 500 push-ups 500 shrugs with a 30kg barbell I'm seeing a pattern developing.... E and SE...looks suspiciously like base building:) That's just part of his strength & conditioning. He'd also spend most of his day doing ski...

Re: PFT Tips Thread
Great stuff gents!! Thanks for contributing. Here's another that should be common sense, but I see people fucking up all the time... Use specificity. When doing SE, make sure your SE clusters contain all your PFT exercises. When choosing HIC and E, stick to the running and sprinting sessions....don...

Re: Sound Familiar?
Any particular reason you went with this instead of Extreme Ownership? After listening to him on podcasts, I did consider picking it up. He's an interesting guy and a very credible source on leadership. But given what I'm after, I didn't think I'd get much out of it. I read some reviews that said &...

Re: Sound Familiar?
I just finished listening to "Way of the Warrior Kid" while I was out walking my dog this morning. It was ok but I wouldn't recommend it for grown-ups or for kids who have an advanced stage of teen-style cynicism. It's definitely for kids in grade school. I bought it because I recall read...

Re: Conor McGregor's Nutritionist; Article
This mirrors my experience. I'm certainly no expert, but back when I used to Crossfit I was playing around with low-carb and it killed my WOD times and results. I can see it working for LISS, but I don't see how you can get away with low-carbing for metcon or HIC.

Re: A hidden benefit of Base Building
Same here. I thought I was imagining it but LSS is really straightening out my posture, strengthening my lower back and supporting muscles.
By far the biggest benefits for me have been mood and energy though.

Re: I have questions about a TB template with Simple and Sinister
I know this has been discussed, but I didn't see exactly what I was looking for. Life has made it difficult for me to get to the squat rack and do the traditional lifts. I've got two little ones at home, so lately I've just been able to do a quick kettlebell workout in the living room after they ar...
