Re: Former SF (18 series)/current Fed LEO - ask me almost anything
What took the most getting used to when you transitioned from the military to LE? Two things stand out. 1) The camaraderie isn't the same. I work with different agents all the time. I don't have a team. It's just not the same. We do have a tactical branch were I'd be on the same team for a few year...

Re: Former SF (18 series)/current Fed LEO - ask me almost anything
What was your training was like after you became an SF member (post-selection). Did you do a lot of team training, or was it more individual? Did you change what attributes you spent time working on? we seem to let some really good people go and take on some "questionables" with very litt...

Re: center axis relock
It's not used by any serious unit or shooter (competitive or squared-away tactician.) I'm vaguely familiar with the internet debates about it, so I want to say this. The number of people that can say "I've trained SOF" is in the thousands. I've been to some classes or been taught by some g...

Former SF (18 series)/current Fed LEO - ask me almost anything
This might be interesting to some here. I went through US Army Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS) about 10 years ago and then finished the Q Course and was on an ODA with a National Guard SF company. I came in "off the street" and went from Basic, AIT, Jump School straight into...

Re: Reading List
Will be jumping into Nassim Nicholas Taleb books after having deep discussion with couple of my friends. Just ordered "The Black Swan" and "The bed of Procrustes". You might want to look into it if you are interested in philosophical aphorisms, uncertainty, probability theory an...

Re: Home Gym Equipment
I don't think I need much else. Here's what I have and what I think about it. Onefitwonder half squat rack - Half racks actually have a larger footprint than a squat rack. I could have just bought a low-end squat rack and saved $150. Cap OB86 bar - can't imagine needing anything else or paying more ...

Re: incorporating rowing/erg into Operator + Black?
Great info. I try to mix it in with runs and sprints for triples, etc. I've also noticed I recover quicker when I use it more often. One thing I remember about it is the sweet spot on the damper is between 4-6 I would think of the rower in this manner. If there is a run, jog, sprint or dash in any ...

Re: incorporating rowing/erg into Operator + Black?
Here are some good basic tutorial. Just scroll down on the left for the rest. https://www.againfaster.com/assets/AF/blog/2012/01/16/rowing-part-1/ Thanks. I've watched a few tutorials already, but the videos on this link are more thorough than the ones I had already watched. I think a big question ...

incorporating rowing/erg into Operator + Black?
Hi all, Do we have any experts on the rower here? I'll soon be moving to a place where running outside isn't feasible (due to the city having one of the highest murder rates in the world.) I'm shipping a new Concept 2 rower there to give me a 'cardio' option in my home gym. I've done some steady sta...
