Re: Examine.com Guides?

Examine is a decent resource but the guide is definitely overpriced. They can charge whatever they want but $50 for what they provide is a rip-off. Here's the advice in a nutshell: Base Supplements - Take 25-30mg of Zinc - Take 200-400mg of Magnesium - Take 2000-3000 iu of D Consider Adding D-Aspar...

Re: Examine.com Guides?

You won't find any game changers. Those exist, and they're called PEDs. Most information is free. It's the packaging that costs money. Agreed. I'm not looking for game changers, more for a way to support testosterone through vitamin/mineral supps while training. Basically to shore up against any de...

Re: Wim Hoff method

I'm not sure about it. I was very interested in the beginning and read / watched everything I could get my hands on. I know it sounds lame, but I think something's off about this dude. I personally think it's bullshit and some of the claims he (and his company) make are ridiculous. It supposedly cu...

Examine.com Guides?

Anyone ever buy or read one of these? I've been eyeing Examine's testosterone book...but at a whopping $50 it seems pretty pricey. I don't want to pay that much if it's the typical "take your zinc, vit d, do intermittent fasting and lift/sprint" advice that can be found for free. That bein...

Re: Blood pressure meds

Vitamin D may or may not be your problem, but it probably won't hurt to go off it for a week or two and see if you notice any significant difference. If it is having an impact, maybe reintroduce it at a lower dose and use something like Thorne's K2 (liquid) in conjunction.

Re: Blood pressure meds

I agree with Bark on this, don't be too quick to label yourself with high blood pressure just yet. These meds end up coming with a ton of side effects. These are some of my thoughts, but they don't take the place of professional medical advice of course: - Run a Base Building Block for 8-12 weeks. R...

Re: Training Max *again*

Just curious.. In case of switching clusters like 12 weeks of "primary" cluster / 6 weeks of "secondary" cluster.. What do you guys think about running TM for primary cluster and 1RM for secondary cluster? Example: TM for BSQ/BP/WPU and 1RM for FS/OHP/Row.. Something like that? ...

Check out the book "Spark". It's an excellent look at how exercise rewires the brain and body by a Harvard professor. A very user-friendly read:

Re: Former SF (18 series)/current Fed LEO - ask me almost anything

This might be a nothing question because it sounds like you had a very high level of endurance coming into SF (ultras, climbing, rucking), which (from what I understand) along with strength-endurance are the two areas you want to be very good at for it. If you had to go back and do it again, would y...
