Re: Kefir
Bought some today. Kept my distance because of my overall dislike of dairy, but been hearing too much good stuff about it not to try. Anything the mongols drank must have some merit for training lol.
Anyone else out there with experiences with this stuff? Any noticeable positives or negatives?

Re: Temperature Increases during g-Tummo Meditation: Legend and Reality
This stuff's fascinating. Same with some of the experiments they've done on Himalayan yogis, like this one: http://www.swamij.com/pdf/swami-rama-beyond-biofeedback.pdf Rama was one of the first yogis tested by western scientists...the guy was able to control the temperature in his hands (independen...

Re: Transition from LP to TB
Just read both TB books and am interested in Operator-Black Pro. I'm a CO in a Canadian jail and feel this is the protocol that would be of most benefit as I am sprinting (more or less) to codes within the jail and assisting other officers restraining fighting or unruly inmates. I am currently runn...

Re: Low fat VS low carbs - it doesn't really matter
1. When it comes to weight loss I think it's important this is stressed. TB isn't a weight-loss program. It's performance oriented. Performance that involves moderate to high intensity (ie the need to access muscle glycogen quickly) will suffer on a low-carb diet, regardless of how "fat adapte...

Re: Dealing with physical pain
This loosely ties into the topic at hand I think... years ago I read an NLP/Performance based book that classified motivation as positive or negative and how people tend to fall into one camp or another. If I remember correctly; the negative type motivate themselves through pessimism or fear of fail...

1 HR 3x Week Upregulates Dopamine
This is pretty significant, and more good news for TB-ers that do Base Building or E: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4832026/ TLDR; 1 hour of aerobic activity 3xweek significantly upregulates dopamine in ex-meth users. That's pretty darn powerful. They classify the exercise as aerobic,...

Re: Technique and Strength in the Martial Arts
strength is good to have. all else being equal, the stronger guy will win the fight generally. Godjira, this is a meaningless phrase. It's like saying all else being equal the guy with better conditioning wins. Or all else being equal the guy with better technique wins. Playing Devil's advocate, bu...

Re: Technique and Strength in the Martial Arts
Everything being equal than sure it's better to be the stronger man in a fight. Not a particularly bold or innovative stance to take....it's like saying eating less helps you lose weight. I guess I'm looking at it more from a point of view of prioritizing. I don't know that you're going to find too...
