General Mass - Which Template while shift work

Post by TopGun »

Hi Guys,

I am using TB since 2016.
Now for the first time, i would like to run Mass Protocol.

But i have some troubles with finding the right Template for GM because of my working shedule as a LEO.

Its the following:

Day 1: 12-6 pm
Day 2: 6-12 am AND Night Shift 6 pm to 6 am
Day 3: Off
Day 4: Off

Then it starts again with Day 1 and so on…

At the Day 1s i could do some conditioning. The Day 2 i have only 6 hours to eat and sleep before starting again. During the two days at work i am not able to use a gym.

I know that Fighter HT and Gladiator would be an option, but my question is, if you guys see a possibility to use one of the others?
I really would like to use MT or Grey Man and wondering, if there is a possibility to do so, without pushing the rules of the program too hard :D

Thanks in advance!

TopGun, I've run all except Fighter HT. If it were me, I'd run Gladiator, but because of the 2 on 2 off, which will actually make it a bit better for recovery, I'd add pullups. So maybe Day A would be MP, SQ, WPU, Day B would be BP, DL, the E. That leaves work days free. Blocks are only 3 weeks long, a little longer in your case - suggest you give this a try for a block.

Just want to give my 2c.. I have been following custom 9 days training week for long time for both BB and OP I/A. I am doing the same currently for Fighter HT and will be applying it for Grey Man starting next week. It is set up like:

Day 1 - Lifting AM (optional conditioning PM)
Day 2 - conditioning or off
Day 3 - conditioning or off
Repeat

It works very well for me giving my complex personal family/work situation and my age (51 yo).

I hope it can give you some ideas..

Thank you for the great answers!
I immediately started to work out Fighter HT with an extended week and so i forgot to answer…sry!

What was the reason for KB not to write an I/A version for the Mass Protocol?

How you doing with the 9 day version of grey man Barkadion?

Oh.. that’s easy..

Day1 AM - Lifting
Day 1 PM - E
Day2-3 - off
Repeat

OR

Day1 - Lifting
Day2 - E
Day3 - off
Repeat

Good luck!
