Cheers mate. Yes, I agree. I’d say mobility drills and LSS are important in particular. I find OWT OP/IA approach is very good compromise. Smart, intelligent, and it gives you some room for reasonable mistakes.

And at some point you might find that your warm up is longer than the actual workout :D

I know it is personal preference, but what age do most start to go to the Old warhorse protocol and the 80% TM?

The OW is for anyone with a greater "training age", whatever their calendar age might be. I've corresponded with people (some of them on this forum) in their late twenties and early thirties who have used that template with very good effect. This is basically how I structured my powerlifting training (without all the conditioning) when I was in my thirties. If you are feeling beat up from pushing the edge on strength, and then backing up to 80% and lacking a long-term run at new PRs is in order. Remember that by the time you get to the end of the whole ordeal, you might be working well over 100% of your previous training max. So, if you are feeling stalled-out, burned-out, and just looking for a longer range plan, you might give it a try.
