Sorry if I missed it. Is there an expected release date for the book?

I am a mid 40s Tactical Barbell newbie and I feel like this book is going to be really helpful.

Best of luck with the project!
Thanks BJJ. We don't have a solid release date yet, but it should be the relatively near feature. The project is in the "do the I's and cross the T's" stage.

The 55 year old commando is inspiration for the over 40 crowd. Check it out:

This is a great article. There is a short video at the end where Ned Overend, who is still kicking ass at 60, discusses his approach to training. Many similar themes as the Ageless Athlete book.

Bump.

I just re-read this entire thread and picked up on some stuff I missed before, some things I want to try. Others may find the same, there is a lot of good stuff in here.

New material for the thread. Read two books:

Physique After 50 https://www.amazon.com/Physique-After-5 ... B01MDLNGIP. Pretty far out of my range of experience, maybe worth experimenting with during an annual deload?

Powerlifting After 50 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CTDOHYA/re ... TF8&btkr=1. Guy did PLing from 48 to 72 and it seems mostly reasonable.

Can't say as I've experienced many physical changes since March but I did run a period of more spinal decompression stuff (more chins, more glute ham raise, hanging leg raise) paired with squats and deadlifts, and that did seem to result in me feeling better during the week.

Hi TBP,

Thank you for the links. Didi you read both books?

Both core stabilizers and scapula supporters always give me nice break for the spine load.. I always try to address it with warm ups as well.. Wouldn't survive without it.. :D

Bark, yes, that's why I wrote those things. Was there something additional you would like me to comment on?
