I used to do them with my clubbell when I went through a phase of training with them.
It was a good movement and over a period will sneak up on you.

Think of it as more of a pullover type squat movement done slowly and in control. It's a levering type exercise instead of an explosive movement. Mostly feel it in the forearms and upper back.
