Hey, you did it, even if imperfectly. Glad to see the report.

Thanks so much TBP. It's these small encouragements that keep us going

Never slept, the puppy was in too much pain. Had to bring him to the vet for euthanasia. I opted to rather spend my time with him than swinging metal balls around. Heart breaking stuff.

Jog. T = 55:01 ; HRav = 141; Distance estimated at 6.75 km.
Only half way through did I realize that D1 was not lost. Just use D1 as 'recovery' and try the rest of the cycle. I will do some SE tomorrow. Jog went surprisingly well despite the low motivation. Also, did the pre-determined maximum distance for the 'in week' jogs which included 'that' hill. Walking up, my HR actually dropped!

Wednesday 06 July 2022
Base building B1 W3D3 SE(40)
Three rounds of 40 reps of:
Swing
Knee push up
Goblet squat
Row
Romanian dead lift
3 min between rounds. Just trying to catch my breath between exercises.
Went ok. Motivation was low, and the second round swings and Goblet squats were 30/10 with a short break. Third round the same for swings, but Goblet squats were 25/15. Probably more a mental thing than anything else. Happy to have this one done.

Jog.
T = 1h03; HRav = 138; HRmax = 159.
The park was opened already so I could go through the park. The silly HR watch says this was 7.75 km, but I suspect that's an over estimate. Legs were pretty sore from the SE of yesterday. Jog went surprisingly well though.

Basebuilding B1W3 D5 (SE)
Two rounds (3 min break) of 40 reps of:
Swing
knee push-up
Goblet squat
Row (l, r)
Romanian deadlift
T = 28:05; HRav = 125; HRmax = 152.
Went OK. Depth on Goblet squats and knee push-ups could be deeper. Was still having slight DOMS from the previous SE workout.
Later that day I was exhausted. Almost fell asleep during an award ceremony.

Review of week 3.
Despite the emotional turmoil, I made all the workouts. I don't think swapping E and SE is a huge thing, but the obvious problem with the higher reps is that you might still have some DOMS. The E/LSS sessions seem to be getting easier, and I see an increase in the jog part and a decrease in the walk part. Also, it seems that estimating when hitting the HR= 150 gets easier. On the last jog, I seemed to check the HR at 150-151 based on the breathing. I used to do the talk test by 'singing' (horribly) but did not have a fun song to 'sing'. I remember how much fun it was to belt out Rammstein while jogging past people

Monday 11 July 2022
Base building B1 W4D1 (SE 1 x 50)
One round of 50 reps of:
Swings
knee push-ups
Goblet squats
Row (l, r)
Romanian deadlift
T = 13:59; HRav = 128; HRmax = 151
Slept badly and was already tired. This woke me up though. Goblet squats were more 37/13 with short break to catch my breath. I'll be happy when next week is done...
