Still keeping busy and training. Enjoying some time off from work with the family after the birth of my daughter but still keeping the PT schedule up. Enjoying the new dad strength I have now that I’m a dad of three.

Thanks all!

I've been under the radar a bit, but still working. I completed a UK rucking challenge on Saturday and I believe I am the first American to have done so. This is a summary of what I had to do over that time. Taking it a bit easy this week.

Test 1: Australian SAS 9 mile speed march with 20# (boots and trousers) for time.

Test 2: Trident Phase. All three have to be done within a certain time frame.
(Alpha) 1.5 mile warm-up run in 15-20 minutes, then timed 2K run.
(Bravo) Budd workout – 1 mile run, 69 push-ups, 69 burpees, 69 knee tucks, 69 sit ups, 69 speed skaters, 69 air squats, 1.5 mile run in boots and trousers.
(Charlie) 2 mile speed ruck march with 50# (boots and trousers)

Test 3: Double Tap Week.
(Alpha) Speed and Strength Cycle. 400m run, Push-Ups/Sit-Ups/Burpees x15, 400m run, Push-Ups/Sit-Ups/Burpees x20, 400m ruck run (35#), Ruck Overhead Press/Push-Ups/Sit-Ups/Burpees x25, 400m ruck run (35#), 400m run.
(Bravo) Pegasus. 1000m run with 15# and trainers, 1600m ruck run with 60# and boots, 1000m ruck march (no running) with 60# and boots, 1000m run with trainers.

Test 4: British Army CFT. 8 mile terrain ruck, 25kg, boots and trousers.

Test 5: Catterick P Company Endurance Test. 12 mile timed ruck with 20kg, mandatory 30 minute rest, 10K timed ruck with 20kg.

Test 6: Heavy week. Both have to be done in the same week.
(Klepper) 1 mile with 100# ruck for time.
(Stanley) 5.6 miles with 80# ruck for time.

Test 7: Exercise Stiletto. On Friday, start 28 hour food and water fast at 1800 hours. At 0600 on Saturday, 3 mile run. At 1200, 3 mile ruck with 60# and boots. At 1300, consume 4oz water and one bouillon cube. At 2200, 4 mile ruck march with 60# and boots. Hydration and nutrition after.

I threw up a little just reading that. So you did each test on a Saturday?

One week for each test. So some weeks had more than one challenge in them (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie).

Completed a GORUCK Tough event starting at 9pm Friday night and finishing at 10am Saturday morning. We covered over 22 miles carrying tons of heavy sandbags and including three parking spot bumpers which weighed around 250# each. My arms, traps, and ears are shredded from carrying those stupid things. Some good PT in the beginning then lots of heavy miles.

This was probably the event I felt the best prepared for and I really strived to always be trying to carry something. I got a lot of work in as I am walking like an old man now.

Still keeping busy. Home workouts primarily so lots of sandbag work (got a new one that goes up to 120#), TRX, kettlebells, rucksack, and plain old calisthenics (lots of burpees). Still running a lot (knocked out an easy 8 miles last week, eyeballing a 20 mile trail run next month) and rucking a lot (had the time and energy so I jumped in on a 20 mile overnight training ruck - work time was 6:19 and ruck was 50#). Just wanted to update.
