Green Week 2 Day 4
Interval Run 7.2 miles 1 hour
PPPA

The run went pretty well. 400 meters at a fast pace followed by a 2 min recovery pace.

Day 5
MS
Bench 175 5x5
Squat 225 5x5
OHP 115 4/3/3

Bench and squat were easy. OHP was a struggle. Gonna keep it at 115 next and possibly reduce the numbers after the next week. I think it’s more of a form thing than anything else.

Green Week 2 Day 6
9 miles 1 hour 10 min

Weekly mileage 32

Can’t remember the exact time for this run, so this is just an estimate.

Week 3 Day 1
5 mile run 40 min.
PPPA

Heavy snow made this run difficult. Was supposed to be my tempo run and I thought I could stick to the streets but that proved difficult and hit the snow covered trail.

Day 2
Interval Run 8 miles 1 hour
Snow made this one hell of a challenge, but a fun one.

Day 3
MS
Bench 185 5x3
Squat 245 3x3
Deadlift 295 1x3

Great weight training session. Wasn’t sure if I was going to feel good doing these weights, but I felt great. I’m positive I could’ve gone for more reps on each set, but not giving into my ego has done wonders with this program.

Green Week 4 Day 4
Fartlek Run 8 miles 57 min

It’s cold enough where the snow is dangerous to run in now. Stuck to the dry part of the trail which meant running the same path quite a bit. Been running in 0 degree weather or less now for the past couple weeks and running in the snow, today I felt very light on my feet. Not sure if it’s because of the snow but i feel much faster.

I love to run in dry cold and I hate to run snow trails. I feel like drunk monkey..

No recovery run today because of time. I’ll still be well over 30 miles after tomorrow’s run though.

Hahaha, that’s a great way to put it. I’m the same way, I just hate the treadmill so much.
