Squat 275 x 5, 5, 5
OHP 135 x 5, 5, 5
Pull-ups x 5, 5, 5

Everything felt pretty good. I still had DOMS from the run Sunday but they quickly went away once I got warmed up.

On the last set of squats I changed my hand position for some reason. My ring fingers were on the rings and I pulled my elbow down instead of back like I normally do. This felt really good and I kept a nice chest high position even though I had a low bar position.

Long weekend traveling to see family. I didn’t sleep or eat well, I just didn’t have it in me today.

TM Run 1.5 miles - 9:44

Light warmup of squats and presses.

Happy with the run, this was not an all out effort. My lower back tightened up about an hour after making basic movement pretty difficult. Ibuprofen, rolling and hot shower helped. This morning it was tough getting going but I eventually got to pain level I can tolerate for normal activities. I’ll shut down for a couple of days to work this out.

Haven’t posted in a few months. I’m in a strength maintenance phase right now. I’m expecting to not be getting much sleep for Using a pretty standard protocol for me - every other day training, alternating between strength and conditioning. Strength work follows A / B rotation and conditioning is KBs and body weight work along with runs.
Current numbers are -
Strength A
DL 365 3x5
BP 185 5x5
BB Row 5x5

Strength B
OHP 135 3x5
F Squat 185 5x5
Pull-ups 5x5

For runs I’m still sub 10 for 1.5miles.

My plan is to hold the strength and running where they are. I’m going to slowly increase KB volume in conditioning days but keep it easy. The intent is really just holding what I got during this period of compromised recovery.

Some kettlebell swings, sets of 10, and snatches, sets of 2/arm. Didn’t count sets but just went until I felt the bell slowing down.

F Sat 185 x 5, 5, 5, 5, 5
Pull-ups x 5, 5, 5, 5, 5

Alternated the squats and pull-ups with 60 seconds of rest between.
