Re: Just Had a Thought...Black Protocol & SE
I could be wrong, but the way I understand it is that SE is more of a workout for the muscles rather than cardio. Instead of training the muscles for maximum load like with Op template, you train them for repeated efforts/muscle endurance. Wouldn't the conditioning aspect of it just be a side effec...

Re: Combat Breathing?
The "Relaxation Response" by Dr. Herbert Benson is another good read on the effects of meditative practices on stress and the fight/flight response.

Re: Combat Breathing?
I do it throughout the day. One minute here one minute there. Few minutes here and there. All depends on the kind of day I'm having. If I'm getting ready to go into a high-stress situation I'm typically doing it before I get there. If I'm in one and have the opportunity to take a breath usually a f...

Re: antlas log
I did a 3.7 mile run today in an effort to work off at least a few Lindt chocolate balls. I went after dark hoping to look at Christmas lights, but it turns out that ruins my night vision. All well, I still enjoyed the festive atmosphere, and the run felt great. I can tell rowing has improved my CV...

Hey guys, outside of doing direct neck work what typical compound lifts or exercises (if any) indirectly hit the neck the most?

84 Year Old Don Wildman: Amazing!
I was watching the Shark Tank last night. An 84 year old billionaire named Don Wildman was on the show helping out a younger guy pitch. 84 years old, high school dropout, military vet (Korea). This guy was ripped. He's done something like 9 Ironman competitions, skis, snowboards and trains like a ma...

Re: Question about the Grunt vs SWAT cluster for Operator
I am not thinking in terms of body parts and am surprised how fast this whole topic turned into my wanting to do a bro split. All I was wondering was why the SWAT and Grunt Clusters focus on completely separate MAJOR muscle groups. One cluster is hitting your chest and hams and ignoring shoulders a...

Anyone Watching McGregor v Alvarez?
This is going to be a good one.... very good match up in terms of style and ability. Although McG seems like he's losing it mentally if his press conferences are anything to go by.

Re: Operator + Black review
Results: Squat: +25 pounds Bench: +10 pounds Deadlift: +30 pounds Weighted chin-ups: +20 pounds I got my muscle back, without adding fat. The biggest surprise was the deadlift increase. I couldn’t lift more than 440 for a very long time and now I lifted 475. Finally got my sights on 500 WHILE havin...
