Re: Operator and A+A Snatches
How have you found Q&D? I’m currently using it once per week as an individual session (trialing it) with fighter template, and have been curious to see other people’s take on it. I started Q&D this week. Snatches with the 24 kg. I'll report back after a block. So far I like the sessions. Ve...

Re: Operator and A+A Snatches
Some time has passed now and I wanted to come back with a report what I have done until now. I started with A+A snatches right after writing in here. I started with the 20kg KB and fixed my technique. Since then I have progressed to sessions with the 32kg. It's another animal to do 100-200 snatches...

Re: Operator and A+A Snatches
Many guys at Strongfirst do only A+A snatches as the strength exercise 3-4 times per week. The other 3 days they do light jogging. For the snatches, they go really heavy and a lot of volume. I'm talking about 200 snatches with 32 or 40 kg. So there isn't much room for more strength training. To me,...

Re: New meta-analysis finds late workouts improve rather than impair sleep quality
My experience is that I can do some training late in the evening or night, as long as it's not too intense. I used to train rugby from 9 PM till 11 PM and it was quite difficult to go to bed afterwards.

Re: Alternative to pistol squats
If I had only access to your tools I would try: - hill sprints on one of the HIC days - learning to snatch the 16 kg kettlebell. Even though is a light weight, snatching it for sets of 20 is a decent workout. - maybe slow 1 leg deadlift with the 16 kg. -skater squats - shrimp squats. - box pistol sq...

Re: New Schedule Advice
Hi Spemma, Congrats on the baby! I'm not very frequent here at the forum because I haven't tried Tactical Barbell yet. I will switch to it when I reach the Simple standard from simple and sinister, I want to finish what I started. I started Simple and Sinister when my daughter was born. All I had wa...

Re: How do chose your E-Sessions
As you have kettlebells, you can do swings in an aerobic manner without leaving the house. If you have a HR monitor, put it on and do sets of 10 swings so your HR peaks at about your MAF heart rate (180minus your age). Rest until your HR drops to about 100 or 90 and start the next set. This way your...

Re: Progressing & percentages with fixed weights (kettlebells & bodyweight)
You could consider doing a kettlebell program, instead of trying to adapt a barbell program to kettlebells. I think it would fit better. After you finish that program you can start Tactical Barbell with a barbell. I'm currently running simple and Sinister. When I reach Simple goal I'll switch to TB ...
