Week 4 review
75% weights, 60min runs. Nothing much to report. Another week down. More progress made.

Block 12
Strength-First Base Build
Week 3 review
90% week. Weights felt fine. Runs are getting longer, with no issues. I mistakenly shorted the first run this week by 10 minutes. Should have checked the text before I headed out.
Gradual, boring progress. Just what I'm looking for.

Re: close_fox TB Log
Block 12 Strength-First Base Build Week 2 review 80% week. Weights felt really good, especially FSQ. Getting way down low. Running feels fine. Reaching the end of my current podcast, didn't have enough left to cover today's 40min run. Made a cheesy, slow playlist to keep the RPMs down. I’m a big fan...

Block 12 Strength-First Base Build Week 1 review No day by day recaps. I am running the template per the text, so I don't see the need to retype it here. Feels good to be lifting again. I "tested" my maxes a few days before starting BB. Stopped at 185x5 for all lifts (BP, FSQ, and RDL). Th...

Re: close_fox TB Log
Alright, I'm back. I returned from a one-year deployment cycle around five months ago. Since then, I have taken a good bit of time off from training. I went on leave for a long time and didn't train at all. Since then I have trained sporadically – basically whatever I felt like doing. Easy runs. Cir...

+1. And if they aren't your images, you can edit your post (delete them).Tym87 wrote:you should pull those images off imgur if you put them there.
These same imgur links were posted to the TB reddit. We don't have to let this happen here. Mods?

Re: Garmin Foretrex 401/601
Foretrex does a bunch of MIL/etc. sounding stuff you won't need or use for fitness hiking. Some of those functions are discussed on the Garmin website. Don't read too much into pics of dudes carrying the Foretrex. It's not (I hope) the only navigation and related gear they are carrying. Foretrex can...

Re: BB HIC Alternatives
I had a similar problem a while ago. I was following the 17 Week Sample Program in TB2. I needed to sub something for Heavy Bag Resets (no access to a heavy bag), but I wanted to ensure I got the intended training stimulus. Here is the guidance I got from KB: CF, 600m resets or any 'reset' type acti...

...so I took a decision: next Block i’ll repeat the same weights without force progression, even if the 85% and 90% workouts will be great...i think 80% is really the key week in a block Great decision. I see no downside to repeating a block. Having the patience and humility to own the current weig...

24.08.2018 General conditioning #2 Time: 27:10 Big progress as for the first time I did chin-ups the entire workout and didn't have to do inverted rows on the TRX as a substitute. I just keep getting stronger and stronger on TB while also having probably the best level of endurance I've had! Big pr...
