Re: Minimal progress after 6 weeks of base building?
Hi, all. I have been diligently following the TBII base routine for ~6 weeks. The workouts are great -- I've been hitting 60 mins of rucking, running or biking on my E days, with a 90 min-120 min day thrown in every week or so. However, I am not noticing much progress toward a faster run time. I'm ...

Re: Any suggestions for elbow pain?
I own and have read all of the books except Ageless Athlete. Overhead pressing mostly expressed in TB as an option in lieu of bench press but 5/3/1 utilizes both as staples due to them complementing each other. It's sad that you've removed good information but I see how this forum operates. TB actu...

. . @johndoeman2017 I've removed your post. We frequently discuss and even recommend other training programs on this forum without any issue. Sometimes other programs are a better fit for specific situations. However, your recommendation was based on misinformation, which indicates you're not famil...

Look into incorporating SE-Only blocks, along with push-up finishers for the rest of the time.

Re: Member Introductions Thread
Hello All, I guess I should start here as a new member and provide a bit of information (warning: brevity is not my strong point, obviously)! 40 years old, father of 1, and generally what you would consider a thin weak guy (think posterchild ectomorph). Also currently no requirement for physical fi...

Re: Strength and E in One Session
To pile on to the excellent advice by Maxrip and Black PJs, I think we also need a bigger picture of your training. What conditioning protocol are you on? What you're doing might be ok (with a few tweaks) if you're not following any sort of TB conditioning protocol on your non-strength days. The ans...

Re: Why no A-B-A B-A-B style scheduling?
Basically for a submaximal strategy to work you need frequency. Hitting a lift once a week at 70%-75%rm isn't optimal to stimulate strength gains or muscle growth. Hitting it 2-3 x a week is (and then some), with 3x being better than 2x. Generally speaking. Less frequency = more intensity needed to ...

Not a big youtube guy, but this little video is awesome and worth a watch. Lots of little gems and recurring themes ...The last 2 minutes with Chris Pratt is gold.

Build your foundation with TB and then switch to an event specific training plan a few months out. Check this thread out:
