Re: Help me think about HIC sprint workouts

Just a quick one for now gents: There's some good information in this thread, but there's also a lot of misconception. First; just because x=good for strength training doesn't translate into x=good for cardiovascular training . Give it some thought. Second. The sprint workouts in this book aren't s...

Re: Kefir

I don't know if you guys familiar with this magic product. I use it for protein shakes: Kefir, protein powder banana (or berries). Works like charm. I use Lifeway brand. Anyway, meet Kefir http://kefirprobioticss.blogspot.com/2012/11/best-post-workout-recovery-drink-kefir.html Major testosterone be...

I like making up my own Fobbits;

10-20 minutes intense pace = HIC
30 minutes or more with a slow relaxed interval = E

I'm assuming you guys have seen these.....:

Re: Need some mass

Your diet is going to be key. I'd recommend figuring out how much you want to weigh (not how much you currently weigh) and input that into a TDEE calculator like Eat To Perform or something similar. Without a doubt you need to know your macros and you need to keep your protein intake high, 1gm per l...

Re: Need some mass

Hey guys, I did TB Operator for almost a year now and had quite good results. Now, however, I have to get a little bit more mass. I'm 1,88m (6,16ft) tall with 85kg (187lbs) and a body fat rate of approx. 10%. I passed all tests and now, due to the upcoming tasks, I should gain a few kg in the nexts...

Re: Fighter/Bangkok Question

This is awesome, thanks! Taking a temporary break from Op to prep for annuals...and this really helps. If you're just training a handful of SE exercises for PFT or qualification (3-4 tops) - then another option is to repeat that cluster: SE Cluster - Push-ups/Pull-ups/Sit-ups Fighter Cluster - Benc...

If You're Low-Carbing, Read This

https://examine.com/nutrition/low-carbing-for-endurance/ Summary Three weeks of a LCHF ketogenic diet in elite race walkers led to marked increases in fat burning capacity during exercise, though these adaptations did not improve exercise performance, likely due to the increased oxygen cost of exerc...

Re: Do Your Roadwork!

You need to remember that Conor was an mma fighter in a boxing match with one the the greats of boxing. You get Floyd Wrestling or doing BJJ and Conor would have the better conditioning of the two. "Cardio" is sport specific and while there is carryover, nothing beats years of experience ...

Re: Operator + Dynamic Effort Days Template

My 0.02 here is that if you've never tried Operator as is, do that first. You can always add or subtract down the road. You also might find that adding sets is a more effective strategy rather than adding in an extra dynamic day. It'll optimize your recovery time and help with work capacity, strengt...
