Re: Do Your Roadwork!

yeah, but Floyd has a certain "lifestyle", shall we say? He owns a strip joint in Vegas. He doesn't drink, but he hangs out at his strip joint late every night. I am assuming his runs are after the strip joint closes . . . . which may be a good strategy! Yup, in another interview I saw hi...

Re: Energy loss, can anyone relate?

LP is great for novices, but at the end of the day, if you are doing it right, you are setting a PR every single workout! Gee, I wonder why you are getting run down? And even Rippetoe says that during your LP, you should eat like a horse and do little if any conditioning. His idea is to get...

Re: Conor McGregor's Nutritionist; Article

One way to translate this for TB would be to go lower carb/higher fat during Base, and then reintroduce higher carb for Continuation. Interesting..... I wonder if there's any merit to taking this a little further by eating more carbs on strength & HIC days while going low carb/high fat on E or ...

Re: Marine Corps OCS Prep and Base Results

Hello everyone, I am a new user here on the TB forums, I have both TB 1+2, and I have just finished Base Building to results I am happy with. Strength did not go entirely down, and cardio has most definitely improved. Note: I am currently cutting weight so strength loss was expected. I have lost 10...

Endurance Athletes: High Protein Intake

Interesting study. Shows high protein intake quickens recovery and brings levels of performance back up faster after a hard training block. I like this one because it uses endurance athletes. Good to keep in mind when running Base or Green.

Re: Fighter+black+mma

i typically do BJJ 2-3/week, for many years now. my gas tank was subpar, badly in need of E. my gas tank was fine for BJJ, but horrible for running/conditioning. i don't personally think that MMA or BJJ hits E well. i would drop a HIC or two in place of MMA, but i would make sure to get in those E ...

Re: Fighter+black+mma

The conditioning protocols are minimums. MMA counts as HIC or E. So as long as you hit 3 conditioning sessions per week (between MMA & HIC), you can call it a day. Or you can add more HICs throughout the week if you have the time, energy, or need.

Just a little food for thought... you can use SE progression for your push-up finisher. Following the bravo set-up you could start with 3 x 30 / 3 x week and add 10 every week.
