Re: Immune system question

Doc, I've been taking ZMA for a long while. I just checked the dosage and it has 25mg of Z. Do you think it might be contributing to weakening of my immune system? Thanks! Yes, it's very possible. Do a little google-fu on excess zinc intake. I am aware 30mg is a popular dose, but most people don't ...

Re: PFT Training Log

DAY 3 - E x 40 I thought I started off too slow but kept a good pace until the end. Started to drag myself to finish. When I checked my time/distance I noticed I was 25 seconds ahead of the last session. One thing, maybe I'm misreading how you intend this but E during Base is not a timed event. Wor...

Re: Immune system question

Bark, zinc can help as long as you don't overdo it. The right dose of zinc strengthens immunity, going too high weakens it bey depleting copper which then lowers neutrophils. Neutrophils are the tip of the spear for your immune system. About 15mg of zinc is the sweet spot. Doc, I've been taking ZMA...

Don't know how I got through this but I did. I felt my third set of pushups were "easier" than my second set.
Your consistency is awesome. This is what progress looks like.

Re: Creatine Benefits; Impressive!

Wait, that's not what that says. The linked study did find creatine to increase both strength and lean mass (which is body weight minus body fat - to include water), but not by double. The effect size is measured by percent increase, not absolute strength or mass. I think this is what the writer is...

Creatine Benefits; Impressive!

Good article, 10 benefits of creatine with accompanying studies/graphs. A few things on the list you might not expect:

https://authoritynutrition.com/10-graph ... -creatine/

Two I found interesting;
- can DOUBLE muscle mass compared to training alone
- slows the progression of Parkinsons

Re: C-Black's Training Log

Here's the highlight of yesterday (P.R. Ahead!). ran a fast5 at what I thought was a 7 minute pace, but no! Smashed my goal of an 18 minute 3 mile run! Base building definitely worked; I could always run sub 6 minute miles, but never had the aerobic capacity or endurance to keep that pace. Yesterda...
