Re: Supplements: Base vs Continuation

Makes sense, Base seems like a natural "off cycle" for the creatine. Creatine helps me with HIC, especially with explosive or speed based work but doesn't do anything for endurance or LISS that I'm aware of.

Re: Calisthenics Instead of Barbells

I will have to read through TB1 and see what it says about using Calisthenics. I am aware that barbells are obviously more efficient in incremental loading, but less efficient if you don't own equipment or cannot afford a gym. Most can afford a pull-up bar or maybe some boxes (or just some cinderbl...

Supplements: Base vs Continuation

Just wondering if any of you folks take specific supps for Base that you don't for Continuation and vice versa? Any that you avoid?

Re: Calisthenics Instead of Barbells

I agree with G2B and Aelian. Nothing really comes close to the ease and effectiveness of barbells for max strength. Keep in mind you can change the cluster up, do something else instead of the bench press if it bothers you. A mix of bodyweight and barbells work well too, as long as you adhere to the...

Re: Movie/Netflix Recommendation Thread

Okay, so I just saw Locke with Tom Hardy. Now I'm a big Hardy fan, but this movie was the stupidest thing I've seen (posing as "art") and not anything close to being as advertised ("chilling" "nerve wracking" "Hitchcock-ian"). The crazy thing is it had a 90 so...

Re: Results from SE Alpha

Out-f&8n-standing! You went from 60 bodyweight push-ups to 88 weighted push-ups (30lbs) in two months. Simply outstanding. Interesting to see that you did it with Alpha too.

Re: TB Law Enforcement

Order of priority would be 1. Running / Cardiovascular Endurance 2. Strength Endurance 3. HIC or HIIT 4. Max Strength I am good with the TB LE conditioning plan but was thinking maybe if I move to the TB Conditioning Base Building it would prove more effective for my current goals. I used to run a ...

Re: Is enough running 3 days per week?

A little late to the party here, but initially just let me say that, yes, running 3 days/week can be enough. I trained for my last half-marathon on 3 days/wk running and 2 days/wk of strength training, and I set a PR in the half. I was using this type of training plan: http://www.runnersworld.com/r...

Re: E after Basebuilding

thank you all for the input, it is very helpful. i was too narrowly defining my terms. i was thinking: E = low intensity low intensity = 50-70% x max heart rate E = 50-70% x max heart rate i think that is fair for basebuilding, but not for continuation. continuation could be said as: E = low to mod...
