Re: TB Law Enforcement
Hello All, First post here, looking for a bit of insight. The TB Law Enforcement has a healthy amount of general strength work which is obviously good, but I am feeling like my strength is enough for now and maybe should focus on more endurance. My squat is around 450, deads at 515, and bench at 35...

Re: Rucking before/after hill sprints
I've been doing a tempo run, LISS run, and hill sprints for my 3 runs each week. I'd like to add rucking in there - right now I walk to work (3 miles) 2-3 times a week, usually on my MS days, but that's with a backpack that's like 5 lbs, 10 maximum, so I don't think it really counts. Right now I jo...

Re: Help make Fighter work?
Hi all! Hoping to get your advice on making Fighter work with my half marathon training plan. I kept a training log for a while, but stopped updating it since my plan drifted away from the fundamentals of TB. I didn't want to gunk up the community with unrelated content. I'm thinking I'll start upd...

Re: 2x-a-days during BB
TB2 is an outstanding book that I'm pretty sure was written with me in mind. Seriously, I have been doing 800m interval runs ad nauseum trying to increase simply my two mile times and I'm always just out of gas. I can hit ~3min 800m intervals consistently but my 2mile remains in the upper 14s. I ha...

Technically you don't need it if you have TB1/2. You would be able to create PLE yourself using 1/2. PLE is the perfect example of a program designed for a specific goal using the systems found in 1/2.

Re: How to increase chin up numbers?
Nice job. Confirming you're still keeping the 2 min RIs in between your chins and main lifts?WhoDey wrote:Thanks for the replies.
During today's workout I did 3 x 2 chin ladders. I interspersed them throughout the main lifts. Felt good.

Re: OldManAsh stays accountable
I totally credit base building and hill HICs with helping me on this. I'm by far the slowest runner on my team (though to be fair, I'm also a fuckton bigger than most of my friends, who average out around 5'9" 160-170 lbs), but I was able to hold my own by virtue of having a deep aerobic-capac...

Awesome.OldManAsh wrote:By the end, I was maintaining more or less the same pace, but my HR was staying right around 141 bpm on runs up to 7 miles in length, with no walk breaks. My resting HR also dropped 5 points.

Re: Keep focusing on E or add HIC?
Add in some speed but don't neglect your LSS. The 5k is mostly aerobic as others have pointed out. Aerobic training should make up the bulk of your conditioning sessions with about a third of it dedicated to tempo work in the form of Fast 5, hills, track workouts.
