Re: 400 Deadlift Achieved! And A Question

I posted while back about reversing squat and deadlift ration for operator, and wanted to update the community on my progress. I started with 260lbs in November, today I pulled a single 405lbs! Big deadlift has always been a goal of mine. Next target is 500! Question for the community, for my curio...

Re: 70 Push-Ups - Maximal Strength and SE Correlation

I agree with you completely, Aelian. I've just been contemplating my own training and wondering, since I came from a strength background, what's going to put the push-ups into the 60-70 range - adding 30-40lbs to my bench press and increasing total body strength further? Or training more push-ups? ...

Re: Op I/A - How many DL sets to YOU do?

70-75% weeks 3-5 work sets, anything over that these days is 1 work set per week. But on RARE occasion, on the last day of my training cycle before a rest week I'll kill it and do as many heavy doubles or triples as I can. Really depends on what my rest week looks like, situation at work and every t...

Anyone else find magnesium energizing? If I take it too close to bedtime it keeps me up. I'm using malate.

Re: Movie/Netflix Recommendation Thread

Finally saw Split. Was a little underwhelmed after all the hype...but that was a masterclass in acting by the protagonist!

Re: Pros/Cons to Operator/Op I/A

I have to agree with Maxrip and the others, I/A is simply the best template I've run (TB or not). If you respond well to Fighter (as you have indicated) then I/A should be a match made in heaven, because it's essentially Fighter but with the ability to take on more frequency while modulating volume ...

Re: 5 KM run during AA Basebuilding

Hello all, I just started the max strength and HIC part of base building. I planned to do fast 5s (or fast 3 km in the beginning) and 600m (maybe 400 m) resets. But now I will run in 5 KM charity run on June, 21st. Some guys at work needed somebody to complete a team and they somehow persuaded me t...

Re: Improving my 1km run. (Think I've screwed it)

Hello all! I already wrote a post about this like 2-3 months ago. The point is I thought It was better to just do HIC training, and neglected my E (did only a few of 5km fast run during my block) The question is, do I need to start base building again? It's supposed to have lost all my bb progress?...

Re: Reading List

Just finished reading "1984". Wow. I just borrowed it, but I haven't cracked it yet. One of those books that somehow never got read while in school... My oldest son and I read 1984 , Brave New World , and Fahrenheit 451 together last summer. It was a very cool experience reading and discu...
