Re: How much E is too much?

So now that I've gotten the hard copies I've been glancing back through them. One of the guidelines on conditioning I ran across was not to overdo the E work; that too much will have a negative impact on the rest of your training. But how much is too much? I usually run Op/Black-Pro. I made the mis...

Re: Challenge Sessions

I did Duku-Duku x 12 with a 55lbs kettlebell once. I'll admit that I have no desire to try Snake Eater's Delite. I'm a bit of wimp about sleep! Seriously? How was it? Any tips? The idea of lugging around that KB while sprinting up and down a hill without putting it down sounds like sheer hell. Read...

Re: HIC or E For Mood?

E seems to put me in a good mood that carries over for a day or more. HIC feels good right after but it's short lived.

Re: Challenge Sessions

Haha, admittedly the first time I read Snake Eater's Delight I was about halfway through when I said hell yeah, someday. Then K.B. said only the crazy would like it... Yeah, my family and some of my more vanilla friends think I'm from another planet when it comes to some of the stuff I do in ...

Challenge Sessions

I'm looking at Snake Eater's Delight. I'm thinking of treating these challenge sessions as mini-events that I work up to over the year. Any of you crazy bastards attempt the challenges yet?

Re: Combat Breathing?

Combat breathing's usually situational, right before and right after a high stress situation. I could be wrong but I think the boys over at SEALfit incorporate 5 or 10 minutes of box breathing before WODs too.

Re: Jason Bourne

This is almost a step by step outline of TB... strength template, followed by SE, aerobic base followed by HIC. "Clear your mind" which is what the Arena will cover I'm sure.

Re: Olympic lifts & variants

My thoughts - truly learning the lifts takes a huge time commitment. Time most tactical athletes simply don't have. Most of your work is with submaximal weights (70% tended to be the sweet spot) and one bad lift can ruin your weekend in a hurry. These are the main reasons I don't bother with them. ...
