Re: Martial Arts for LEO
I think it's good to know both. I try and train muay thai and jits. On patrol or plainclothes duties I probably used bjj more. On the team I used muay thai more. Carrying an mp5 makes grappling awkard and dangerous upon initial contact, especially when taking the sling into account. Push kicks and k...

Re: Deadlift and Press Cluster
Hello, hope everyone is well!! :) Due to a job and life changes, now I can only train at home for a long time (I live in a very small flat) where I have access to a barbell and a pull up bar, so I don’t have a power rack and bench. I really love pressing overhead, so I can focus now in improving my...

Re: How do chose your E-Sessions
You can always do BYF. 1 round takes 12 min and it is one of the best simple drills that can get you well conditioned with no jokes. BYF sounds pretty hardcore. I will have to try it. I can also do meat eater II at home. But I don't have any aerobic conditioning tools at home, thats why I was talki...

Re: How do chose your E-Sessions
Another Thread about variation... I am just reading the books the second time to get everything in. In the chapter of E-sessions, there is also SE. I am thinking about using those SE sessions for some of my E-trainings: Is it even a good idea to replace LSS with a SE session? You are interpreting i...

Re: "Owning" the weights
To answer your question directly, I "own" a given weight when I complete an entire block at the high end of "authorized" volume AND my conditioning went well AND I feel good about the block in total. In other words, Operator at 4-5 sets (depending on the week). HIC at high end o...

Re: Confused about 3 vs 6 week cycles
Although what I'm about to say does go against the principles in the books, I've found success using the more frequent progression that's used in 5/3/1. I add 2.5kg/5kg to my training maxes every 3 weeks rather than the standard 6 week TB cycles. However, in terms of training age and strength level...

Desiccated Liver
Just thought I'd share...I've recently started using liver tablets, and holy hell this must be what intravenous B12 feels like! Very energizing but not in a caffeine/jittery way. Might be worth a shot for some of you.

Re: Progressing & percentages with fixed weights (kettlebells & bodyweight)
You mentioned that you're deconditioned.... why not run Base Building with a kettlebell SE cluster?
