Re: Combat Shooting/Technique Resources

https://www.amazon.com/How-Shoot-Like-Navy-SEAL/dp/0989266451 This is the best resource I've come across. A basic/back to the fundamentals book for tactical shooters without any woo woo "zen of shooting" type material. If you like the language and simplicity of TB, then you'll love this. ...

Hey Grouchy, I get some range time due to work (LE). I'm looking more to do some personal study and tighten up my game.

Re: Just Had a Thought...Black Protocol & SE

I could be wrong, but the way I understand it is that SE is more of a workout for the muscles rather than cardio. Instead of training the muscles for maximum load like with Op template, you train them for repeated efforts/muscle endurance. Wouldn't the conditioning aspect of it just be a side effec...

Combat Shooting/Technique Resources

I'm looking to brush up my skills on the range, mostly combat oriented/shooting & move type work. Most of the books out there seem to be geared toward competition/target shooting.

Do you guys/gals have any go-to books or youtube channels you'd recommend?

Re: Member Introductions Thread

Hello All, Thanks for building a great forum for sharing. I am a 38 year former Canadian military medical technician and current flight paramedic. I heard about TB through my friends who are all pretty much cops, soldiers or paramedics. I just finished reading both books and I am getting started wi...

Re: Black n' Fighter

Update* Still stick, the flu is gone, now I have such bad chest congestion / chest cold that I'm out of breath doing daily things. Becoming a nuisance now. I've been sick with the flu for about 3 weeks recently. Not a joke. This winter has brought nasty flu... Take care, mate. No shit. I've been do...

Re: 2017 Resolutions

I had planned a Base Building block several months ago, but fell off the wagon. Instead I've been running my go-to Op + Black template.

For 2017, I'm going to bite the bullet, put aside the barbells for 8 weeks and run a full fledged Base Block.

Hahaha it does indeed: Train FULL body 3 days a week (M/W/F) Use multi-joint compound movements Use a Squat/Upper Body Press/Pull or Hinge (he uses back squat/military press/deadlift cluster) 5 x 5 sets in the 85%rm range/ 4-6 rep range/ stop before form breaks He also talks about adding in ancillar...

Re: Multivitamins

Discussion went somewhere else, though. The main point is to take supplementation only if you need that. Period. If you actually listen to the links Doc provided, this is kind of the point. Dr. Patrick makes a very compelling argument for why taking a daily multi is better than not taking one. It i...
