Re: Sound Familiar?
Any particular reason you went with this instead of Extreme Ownership? ... Recently, I've been contemplating the concept of incremental improvement (which I think started with "So Good They Can't Ignore You" and the line from Steve Martin where he said if he played banjo every day, in 20 ...

Re: Supplement for joints
What type of injury are you dealing with? Curcumin has been very effective for me in reducing inflammation.

Re: Help make Fighter work?
Really great advice here - thanks everyone! I'm going to start by trying those longer rests (because I tend to rush them, despite knowing better) and focus on upping my protein. Will keep you informed!

Help make Fighter work?
Hi all! Hoping to get your advice on making Fighter work with my half marathon training plan. I kept a training log for a while, but stopped updating it since my plan drifted away from the fundamentals of TB. I didn't want to gunk up the community with unrelated content. I'm thinking I'll start upda...

Re: 43 Week Tactical Barbell Plan
It's been a while since my last update. Unfortunately a combination of strep throat and travel have resulted in me missing three strength sessions and two HICs in February. The good news is twofold: 1) Although missing things obviously slows progress, progress has stayed on track; and 2) I intention...

Re: 43 Week Tactical Barbell Plan
I was travelling last week, and although I had a plan to get in all my workouts, I ended up getting hit with strep throat. Haven't been to the gym since last Wednesday as a result. I'm feeling significantly better so am going to do max strength this afternoon and hopefully get my E and HIC session i...

Re: Speedwork: A Primer
Question. Are you saying that after you finish base building you shouldn't bother with any of those nice long, slow, steady state runs from BB? Just focus on the speedwork?

Re: 43 Week Tactical Barbell Plan
Just finished up week three of my strength focus. Got my three strength sessions in, as well as my two conditioning sessions. Like last week, I even added an extra 30 minute run with sauna and stretching. Fairly happy with my weight, although I could still afford to drop 15-25lbs. All the exercise h...

Week-to-Week Fighter Progression
In TBI, Fighter is laid out as follows:
Week One: 75%
Week Two: 80%
Week Three: 90%
Week Four: 75%
Week Five: 80%
Week Six: 90%
In other templates, the percentages increase in weeks four to six (i.e. 80% to 85%, 90% to 95%). Why is Fighter different?

Re: 43 Week Tactical Barbell Plan
Week two of the strength block is in the bag. Hit my three strength sessions and two classes Monday - Friday. Realistically this may not be sustainable next week or the week after as my weights go higher - last night I was feeling pretty worn out, but today I felt great and even tacked on an unsched...
