Re: Mass Protocol - Available NOW + TOC/FAQs

Is it recommended to use a training max (TM) with the Mass templates or is it percentages from a true 1RM?

Re: Fasting

To be honest, I'd never really considered it but some benefits have been quoted in the books and others have shared that's it's good used as a "reset" every once in awhile so just thought I'd give it a try, especially if I've had a cheat meal/day the day before. Just curiosity really! Howe...

Fasting

Hi TB,

Just wondering what your guys guidelines are around fasting as I'd like to give it a try.

How often? How long? Do I fast all day and then have an evening meal? Any help would be great.

Cheers,

Re: Variety in HIC

I plan them depending on my goals. As far as I know you can stick with the same 2-3 exercises for the rest of your life if you wanted too. It depends if you want to master a particular exercise? Do you need it for your job or sport? I do try to include one from HIC 1-10 and one from HIC 11-25 You co...

Re: Confused about 3 vs 6 week cycles

How in the world does this go against the principles of the book? Forcing progression every three weeks is a legitimate option. Interesting about 531. 531 worked well for me initially (years ago- almost anything works for a beginner), and then I started regressing. The only thing that slowed it dow...

Re: Confused about 3 vs 6 week cycles

Although what I'm about to say does go against the principles in the books, I've found success using the more frequent progression that's used in 5/3/1. I add 2.5kg/5kg to my training maxes every 3 weeks rather than the standard 6 week TB cycles. However, in terms of training age and strength levels...

Base Building Week 6 #2 - 19/2/18 Monday Training: Pullups: 4,3,2,1 3x20 Alpha Circuits (1min RI between exercises, 3min RI between circuits) Notes: Really struggled on my pullups today. I'm still tired after football yesterday so maybe thats why. Started missing some pressup reps again but that is...
