Re: Military

How do you take care of your feet? -I always wear dual socks ; one thin nylon ones and some thick (wool or some mix) over them. -Dual lacing ; https://content.artofmanliness.com/uploads/2016/04/Lacing-1.jpg -For blisters (if they happen) I just pop them with needle and try to leave feets on air as ...

Re: Military

Glad you like it, it's a killer. -Also to add, take care of your feet on any ruck intense routine. (You don't need to be bitch about it, but some basics could save you weeks of off time in long term) -And I forgot to write, I would only do routine from above with fighter template , all others would ...

(3-4x times per week, don't push failure) I would like you to also consider adding chinup holds (top position, legs straight, head above the bar..and hold on...) , 4x sets work up to 40-50s hold / with <1:30min rest between. (don't do it in sam...

Re: Military

Pure rucking at fastest pace sustainable, no shuffling/running. No need for running/jogging with your ruck ever in training session. You will survive it if it's needed on selection or somewhere if you are well conditioned on rucking and running, but using it on regular basis while training is injury...

Re: Training Max *again*

I think the main problem OP had was his cluster. Squat/OHP/Bench ...which is squat/v. push/h. push. It was inevitable to miss reps at some point. (shoulders-triceps fatigue)

Re: SE

IMO, SE should be used optionally. If you have upcomming PFT or some other course or you are in some kind of sport where you know you need more strength endurance than do it , otherwise stick to basic strength sessions and as you progress more and more on max strength, you will notice that keeping s...

Re: Military

... 2 years is plenty of time to prepare. I don't want to repeat what others said, just some notes to add: -Rucking should be your priority for army ranger school (I went through something similar). IMO don't stress to much about pushup/situp/pullup numbers, you need to build them but not in expens...

Re: Member Introductions Thread

Hello, I'm 25 years old, serving in military. I stumbled across books few weeks ago and decided to buy them. Previous training experience was mainly bodyweight work (Ross Enamait , Steven Low,...) combined with kettlebells (S&S mainly) because it's really hard to do some consistent weight routin...
