Re: Vegetarian Athlete

I have been vegetarian all my life and am running zulu/operator for last 1.5 - 2 years. The only thing that was hard for me was the protein intake, which after including whey protein and few eggs was not a concern anymore. My key protein sources are lentils, chickpeas, beans, eggs, milk, yogurt, and...

Re: Not your typical back pain?

I will agree with others about consulting doctor and physiotherapist. I am battling a severe back muscle strain and only after consulting a doctor, I came to know that it is actually a "muscle strain" and its exact nature. I waited to consult for about 3 weeks and was occupied with unneces...

Re: HIC or E For Mood?

Definitely E for me and if I remember correctly then I read in "The brain's way of healing" by Norman Dodge that LSS style walking/running has a therapeutic effect on brain.

Re: Chin Up, it works!

Since you can already do a set of 10, it is not going to be taxing if you use fighter PU with a 1RM of 6-7 (training max). The reason I said to stick with it because of your ability to up your max by 1 rep every week, which I think is a pretty good progress. If you think volume could be an issue her...

Re: Chin Up, it works!

I would suggest if possible then continue with fighter PU for next block with a training max of 7-8 to increase your pull ups further, and after that, if you can do 3x10-15 pull ups then you can start with weighted pull ups for blocks ahead. Fighter pull-up program is really good at increasing bodyw...

Re: Forced Progression Question

Yes, keep it simple by adding it to the true max and go from there. I have made the things sound more complicated then it should be. This is what I meant, suppose at block t your true max is true_max(t) then your training max, i.e., training_max(t) is 0.9*true_max(t) at block t. For block t+1, after...
