Re: Your opinion please

Hi Saracen if I'm honest I am quite unfit my goal is to build a high standard of strength and conditioning but ,at 46 I have to accept that I won't be rappelling out of a black ops chopper :D Looks like a solid set-up for your situation and goals. I really like your SE cluster, think it's the perfe...

Hi Gerry,

What kind of shape are you in now, and what's your overall goal?

Re: Nomoji Base Building Log

Smart move going with the empty bar. Keep in mind using Alpha circuits are always an option first time 'round with Base.

Awesome article. T-Nation has some solid stuff, you just gotta separate the junk.

Re: Training Max: Seeing a Pattern

In other words, we tend to test our maxes in nearly ideal recovery situations, but a lot (most?) of our training days are going to happen in less than ideal recovery situations because we have other priorities we are balancing. This is a profound statement that gets glossed over when it comes to us...

Re: General SE Question

Hi guys, I'm currently on week 4 of the Base Building program. Really enjoying it so far. I just had a quick question on the SE elements. My current SE is: KB Swing V-Ups Goblet Squats Hand of Ground Press Up KB Snatch TRX Rows. 20kg Bell apart from the Goblets I use a 24kg bell. How hard should th...

Re: Used a Polar Heart Rate Monitor for First Time

Not to thread jack (what everyone says before the derail a thread big time) But as a young buck who still has to run a PFT every now and then, thus needs to stay fast, how many of my E sessions should be tempo/fun run/ intervals and how many should just be a good ole LSS? Depends on what stage of t...

Re: Used a Polar Heart Rate Monitor for First Time

I had a similar experience, then a revelation that made my LSS life a lot easier and more enjoyable. Starting with Base last April, I began to run again after pretty much not running regularly for a long time. There was a point in my life 30 years ago when I was doing a lot of 10k and half-marathon...

Re: TB for a Meathead

Couple of thoughts on Operator versions. How about running Operator with either: 1 . M/W/F - SQ/BP/WPU Tu/Th - HIC Sat - switching LSS and DL for every other week. You keep your Saturdays short: 30min LSS or DL only day with 1-3 sets. OR 2 . M/W/F - SQ/BP/WPU/DL (with 1-3 once a week with no WPU) T...
