Re: Kefir
I'm very interested in this (and probiotics in general)....what does the kefir do for you, what kind of positive or negative effects are you experiencing?

Re: Book exchange/TB library club
I really like this idea even though as an American living and working overseas, I can't participate. I don't know if this is the appropriate place for this, and if it's not then the moderators can move (or ask me to move) it to its own thread. I really enjoy reading about fitness/exercise. What are...

Re: Supplements: Base vs Continuation
Interesting, I was thinking about this the other day....using certain supps for certain protocols. As it stands, I cycle off creatine every Base. I don't think it helps with aerobic work. I also switch up from a magnesium supplement to a combo mag-potassium to help with electrolyte loss during the f...

Re: Caffeine
I've always been reluctant to take any supplements but have highly considered a pre workout supplement to help with my energy. I've not very knowledgeable even after researching and find conflicting info. I looked at creatine but have a few concerns so have not used it. This is a broad question but...

Re: Caffeine
I used to use NO-Explode and other caffeinated pwos, but for the past year I've been doing the caffeine tablet thing. 200mg pre-workout. If I'm not feeling it I add in a capsule 500mg L-tyrosine which seems to reset the kick I get from caffeine. Yes, I'm taking pills as well. I've heard of L-t but ...

I can't believe I didn't know that Optimum Nutrition made a protein bar....super low in sugar too. Will definitely try these out, thanks!

Re: How to increase chin up numbers?
Can you still do 5 chins? If so you might want to give weighted chins a go for a few blocks. Another option is to do them PPLE style; set aside a block of time after your workouts and do as many chins as you can within your time frame. Rest as long or as little as needed, using any rep-set structure...

Re: 70 Push-Ups - Maximal Strength and SE Correlation
The gist of what I'm wondering is - is there a base level of maximal strength you can achieve at which point adding reps of push-ups is better achieved through other means? Or does there continue to be a tight correlation between maximal strength and SE, even at the upper echelons (re: advanced) of...
