Starting off - but play rugby
I am very keen on starting off tactical barbell. But I play rugby once per week. Just wondering how that would impact on the basebuild? During the one game per week I will be tapping into anaerobic system. I was thinking of reducing one run per week and replacing with the rugby or am I better coming back to basebuild post the season?

It shouldn’t hurt your base build too much; just drop an SE day for the rugby. And maybe schedule your rest day for the day after the match
