Mid Program update, small victories

Post by Rackem88 »

Hey guys just wanted to share some progress. Before February, I was running Operator with mostly BJJ and a run or two. In February I started doing BB with Fighter.

Progress
Feb 14, 40 min LISS @ 11:46 min pace
To
Mar 19, 60 min LISS @ 9:58 min pace.

I'm pumped about this run. Really wanted to hit <10:00 min/mile pace for this and came in 2 seconds under 60 min. Compared to the earlier run, this was really comfortable and definitely felt that I had gas in the tank to push harder.

Pace breakdown
1) 9:49
2) 9:43
3) 9:59
4) 10:35
5) 9:56
6) 9:44

Combine this with 11 lb weight loss and gains in strength and overall I'm am really happy with the results in under two months.

I know it's not super fast however it feels like the sky's the limit. If you scan through my training log you can see that I've been struggling recently with elevation change, sea level to 4000'. I'm hoping when I head back home in a month or so, I'll get that nice little boost.

Great job! What cluster did you go with for Fighter?

Back squat, Bench, BW pull-ups w/ forced progression.

In two weeks, I'm going to do a couple weeks SE to prep for our PRT.

Great work :) that's an excellent improvement. I like how you saw your time drop to 10:35 and hit two sub 10 min splits to finish it off.

On wards and upwards
