Work Sets
Probably a dumb question, but are the "work sets" (i.e. incorporating deadlifts) the sets you do after warm ups? Also, when they say 3-5 sets of 5 reps (Operator), do those include warm ups? For example, set 1=40%, set 2= ~60%, sets 3-5=70-95% ?

Yes, the work sets are the sets you do after warm-up and normally are all the same weight and rep, calculated as a fraction of your 1 rep max.
