As a mid 40s desk jockey, squatting and deadlifting in the same workout does not work for me (lower back).
replacing squats with DL on wednesdays is a great option.
I'm currently experimenting with deadlifting on Saturdays along with sandbag carries, farmers walk, kb suitcase carries, and pinch grip plate walks.
I guess M-W-F is operator while SAT is deadlift and odd object carries day
operator cluster - bench, squats, wpu, neck training
finish with sled or sandbag carries
