Increasing flexibility

I want to increase my flexibility, mainly for muay thai, to be able to start learning high kicks and such. How to approach this? Any designed programs for that, maybe yoga even? Random static stretching seems like a really inefficient way to go.

I tried ROMWOD and liked it ok. Something I've done in the past is Gold Medal Bodies Focused Flexibility program. They have a specific martial arts leg focused routine and a BJJ specific routine. I forget how much it was but I paid for it once two like two years ago and continue to get online access and new routines as they add them. It's not a dynamic (meaning new routine every day) as ROMWOD or as laid out as easy, as in log on and just follow along. But long run more cost effective.

X2 on ROMWOD. I haven't been too consistent with it and I need to fix that. But overall it is a good routine to follow on order to stay healthy and improve your mobility/flexibility. It goes very well alongside of intense training.

Another good option that saved me in the past is Yoga. I like Ashtanga flow. David Swenson does good job with his short forms.

For high kicks, Thomas Kurz is the man to look at. I struggled with high kicks in Kyokushinkai until I discovered Kurz. In just a few months of dedicated work I had effective ones.

I'll go against the grain here and not recommend ROMWOD, tried it for quite some time and never saw improvement in ranges of motion. Did I enjoy it, yes. Does it feel good, yes. Is it good relaxing recovery tool, yes.

The passive nature of it, did next to nothing to improve my ranges of motion, mobility etc...

if you're on IG look up StrongCamps. daniel nakamura? I think is his name. He is fantastic. Lifts boulder, couches, desks etc for PT too.

Murakami, SAMSONITE. I WAS WAY OFF!.

I like GMBs stuff. I am actually looking at doing their Rings 1 program for a change of training pace soon.
I might have to check out focused flexibility.
I have an older one of theirs called prasara yoga that I really enjoyed. Maybe I will just be smart and pull that one out to save some money.

i can chime in here a bit, because i've been searching for a flexibility tool to use. i thought i found the answer in GMB's focused flexibility, but i wasn't impressed, to be honest. i did really like GMB's integral strength series, but the focused flexibility was way too passive for me. i watch the videos of the guy stretching and he looks like he's sleeping. it just didn't feel like it was doing anything for me.

i wonder if GMB's elements series would have been better. it's more mobility focused, but necessitates flexibility.

i've been running through Fightmaster Yoga and so far i like it better than other yoga vids i've tried. i get a sweat going and i like the movement pattern. but, to Barkadion's suggestion, it seems like what i like about the aforementioned is most similar to Ashtanga flow, so i might look more at that route.

everybody says Thomas Kurz is the man - but what does he have out there? is it just the book? i suppose that is fine, but i was hoping for something to follow on video.

Elements(GMB) is just a general movement program based around the 3 movements they talk about.
Long story short it just gets you better at those movements and is a bit of fun. You move better not necessarily more flexible.
Not a bad entry into movement if you are that way inclined, but I wouldn't have purchased if I knew what was in the program in hindsight.
Good, but not what I was after. I am considering Rings 1 still but can't justify the expense.
