Thoughts on EMS

Electrical Muscle Stimulation has been proven in studies to increase strength for about the first three weeks of use (if I remember correctly). Any thoughts on using it in conjunction with TB?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_muscle_stimulation#Effects wrote:"Strength training by NMES does promote neural and muscular adaptations that are complementary to the well-known effects of voluntary resistance training" This statement is part of the editorial summary of a 2010 world congress of researchers on the subject. Additional studies on practical applications, which came after that congress, pointed out important factors that make the difference between effective and ineffective EMS. This in retrospect explains why in the past some researchers and practitioners obtained results that others could not reproduce. Also, as published by reputable universities, EMS causes adaptation, i.e. training, of muscle fibers. Because of the characteristics of skeletal muscle fibers, different types of fibers can be activated to differing degrees by different types of EMS, and the modifications induced depend on the pattern of EMS activity. These patterns, referred to as protocols or programs, will cause a different response from contraction of different fiber types. Some programs will improve fatigue resistance, i.e. endurance, others will increase force production.

My wife got me one on amazon for "relaxation" I don't know about its affects, but it certainly contracts your muscles on even the lowest settings. The higher settings can be outright painful. I don't use it too often, but it was around 20-40 bucks.

You haven't tried using it with reps and sets, etc? It would be very nice to get some verifiable claims about how much it complements voluntary resistance training.

I haven't but I'm not against experimentation. Any suggestions? Any at all. I can guinea pig.

I'm not familiar with how the experiments were run, but we could probably find one of the successful studies and try to replicate the success while combining it with TB. Any edge we can get is welcome, right? Just prepare to be sore after doing 120% of maximum voluntary contraction for reps and sets.
