Hey, guys. I've been off of the forums for awhile rehabbing a balky knee. I'm planning my next base building phase, but I wanted to ask how often you guys are running base building. The book say that some run it 1x/year while others run it 2x/year based upon need. I'm just curious what your actual experience has been. I've been running it about once per year, but it's never very planned. It's usually just at a whim at the end of a continuation protocol when I feel like I need to up my aerobic base. That being said, I keep a one-hour fun run in my continuation protocol year round. What's been your experience? Thanks.

How often are you running base building?
Re: How often are you running base building?
I keep it once a year as a general rule. Also as a remedy for a particular life scenarios when I’m not able to keep regular lifting schedule or i just want to switch the gears.
That’s being said.. I’m trying to experimenting with switching between green and black protocol year round. I might not need to run BB in this case.
But it is always feels good to say to yourself: damn, I Am into BB, now!
