Apex Indoor option

Apex Hills is a sacred untouchable HIC in TB world. I respect that. I do. And I want to get to it.

BUT.

Sprints are out of picturre for me for a while due to my issues with hamstrings. I try to do most of my HIC indoors now.

I have been thinking of trying Apex indoor option/version with substituting sprints by Airdyne intervals. I don't know how well you are familiar with the airbikes. The nature of Aibike is that harder you push-> more resistance you create. That tells me that there is some similarity between AirBike intervals and Hill sprints. I realize it is not the same, though. Please bear with me here.

So, I've been thinking something like:

- Airbike Max out 30-45sec following by KB swings
- Allowed RI
- Repeat

What do you guys think?

It seems perfect.

I wonder if I can do it with my spinning bike because I don't find it challenging compared to running.

I was planning the exact same workout on shitty days this winter. :D

I am also going to try it with the C2 rower.

And I'm going to try 200m sprints on our indoor 200m track with swings at the end.

Can you change your effort as you spin? I'm not too familiar with the spinning bikes..

Yes but it's more difficult for the leg than for the heart hehe.

Barkadion, just letting you know that this one's a real treat. I've been doing this for a couple of sessions now and it's a killer. Not as challenging as my hill (it's a real bitch!), but it's getting close. I'm planning on using this one a lot!

Currently doing 40 second sprints followed by 10 swings (32 kg), 50 seconds rest x10

Hope to decrease the RIs in the future.

Awesome, mate! I might give it a try with my next block that is starting on Monday. 40sec sprint/50sec rest and 32kb bell is a brutal mix..
