Stalled out/missed a few days of base building. Start over?

Hey everyone,
First, sorry if this isn't the appropriate thread/forum for this question but I would rather post it here due to a more free range of subject, etc.
Anyways, I was in my second week or so of base building (as of last week) and pretty much stalled out and missed a few days. The last couple weeks have been a bit busy and nuts due to school and work, etc. As a result, I wound up missing a couple days, went to jiu jitsu in place of regular training due to convenience as "something is better than nothing".
I am wondering if I should either start that week over? I haven't trained this week either and I get a bit OCD which days I train and dont and sort of get detrailed. I know it sounds weird but it kind of just is how I am. My other option as well is if I should just start the entire damn thing over again at Week 1. That seems like a better idea for me only because a "fresh start" might be better.

I have the same kind of OCD. If it were me I'd just cut my losses and start fresh. I like things neat, complete, by the numbers, with a bow on top.

Ha. Yep! That is me to the T. I think thats what I will do anyways. I get so bent out of shape and its kind of dumb but I just can't "wing it" either. I'll probably just start over and go from there. It makes the most sense.
Part of my issue is that I have terrible endurance and as a result, I sometimes go easier than I should in some cases. I have to really push myself because running isn't my strong suit but it is necessary to be able to since I want a career in law enforcement, etc. I may have to start getting creative so I'm not just grinding it out on track, road or treadmill. Ill probably start using triples to make it more interesting, etc.

Triples are amazing for breaking up the tedium. Even if it's "doubles" instead, i.e two 15 minute blocks. Run for 15, bike or row for 15 and you're done.

How many days did you miss? If you missed more than one or two works, and you're just in week two, then I'd start over. Otherwise, a small blip is not going to harm the cumulative effect of the eight weeks of training.

I used to be pretty OCD about timing my workouts too. After a while the stress of not working when I should be working out got to me.
Right now, I just follow the basis that if my last training was 4 days or less ago, I'll just proceed onto the next workout - basically business as usual.
If I miss 5 days or more, I'll restart the week again.
If I've not trained in 10 days or more, I'll restart the block.
It's not grounded in science, but just arbitrary numbers which are easy to keep track of. Like J-Madd says, a small blip shouldn't harm the cumulative training periods.
