Started back muay thai last night after nearly 10 years away.. I'm about 15kg more than I used to walk around at , 20kg heavier than I used to fight at also I'm 44 now.
Plan is 2 days of muay thai and 2 day fighter-ish template . . It'll be Heavy kettlebell press ladders, squats ,weighed chins, deadlifts ( one set) every 3rd session , alternate with a weekly strength endurance or an E/HIC session . focus on mobility and stretches, recovery on off days .
Anybody else start back a martial art in their mid 40s ? And how was your approach to training.
Not interested in fighting again its purely for recreational purposes and also missed the gym banter which isnt the same in the weightlifting gym I use
