i methodically go up in weight; if I am deadlifting 305 I would do a set of 5 @ 95/135lbs a set of 3 @ 185, A set of 2 @ 275lbs then i would get into my working sets.
i usually make 2-4 50-90lb weight jumps just for easy math; the jumps are gonna be on the lower side as the weight increases.
and that's for each movement by the way.
